Vedic Yoga Academy’s 800-hour Yoga Teacher Training program is the ultimate level of training which is available for the students. All applicants for this program will undergo the 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training program and will get a hands on training to assist the Yoga Teachers and lead own class.
The 800 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program is for those practitioners who are looking to put their practice to test and fine tune their approach in the journey of becoming a Yoga teacher. The course is a combination of 200 hour and 300 hour certification courses + 300 hours of teacher training practice , where you begin with the basic level and gradually proceed to the intermediate and advanced level of Yoga teacher training.
This Teacher Training program is suitable for those yoga students who are determined to become an effective and highly skilled Yoga teacher while they are in the learning phase.
Here you will learn
• Daily practice of Psychic Development and detailed exposure to its underpinnings, core elements and theory;
• Detailed exposure to Dharma including detailed breakdown and analysis, small group student teaching, and assisting and adjusting;
• Detailed exposure to the Yoga Nidra Method, technique and theory. Experiential and student teaching elements will be included;
• Asana classes, morning Pranayama/Dhyana sessions and spiritual discourse;
• Curriculum overview of new Dharma classes under development;
• The internship component of this 800-hour TT towards formal certification will include three months daily practice of Psychic Development, and, for Dharma and Yoga Nidra, there will be a student teaching component, as well as a personal practice / taking classes area of requirement

In the Teacher Training you will understand how Yogic breathing can lead to immense concentration and mindfulness, while receiving physical and emotional benefits.
The Energetic Body – Learn how to keep your energetic, mental and emotional body clear of blockages, which is vital to good health. We will teach you how to remove toxic influences from your surroundings and your energy, for you to feel lighter and happier. Gain knowledge on the subtle life force energy - ‘prana’, the different types of energies, the nadi energy channels and chakra energy centers.
Ayurveda – Ayurveda is a 5000 years old science which is more than a mere system of treating illness, it is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge).
