500 hour Yoga teacher training in Nepal is meant for students who want to get advanced knowledge of Yogic practices. The course is a combination of 200 hour and 300 hour Yoga teacher training certification courses where you begin with the basic level and gradually proceed to the intermediate and advanced level of 500 hour Yoga teacher training. You´ll learn meditation, Yogic breathing techniques (Pranayama), Yogic cleansing (Shatkarma) and Yoga poses (asanas) in theory and practice. With deep understanding you will also be instructed in the teaching methodology for Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breath control) and Dhyana (meditation).

This is a very intense holistic experience that can only be achieved by immersed dedicated students who dive deep into Yoga practice. With the help of experienced master Yoga teachers, you will observe daily Pranayama and meditation along with chanting mantras and learn their strengthening and balancing properties. This 500 hour Yoga teacher training course in Nepal will bring upon a deep profound understanding of Yogic discipline, diet, cleansing rituals and teachings of how you can become a competent Yoga teacher. This inner journey will help you explore your true potential with the help of yogic practice, which has been taught and followed by spiritual masters for thousands of years.

Learn Yoga in our teaching center which is located in the peaceful lakeside city of Pokhara. The center is surrounded by nature on top of a mountain, overlooking the beautiful Phewa Lake. We selected the place carefully for meditation practice as the quiet and warm atmosphere is perfect to relax the mind and heal from within. From your private garden you can see the lake and the famous world peace pagoda. The fruits and vegetables from the garden are served in every day meals. The richness and tranquillity of the nature helps to see what is important. Meditate to the sound of the birds singing the song of a long-forgotten paradise.

At Vedic Yoga Academy, you will be living in the middle of nature and experience intact wildlife every day. The rooms offer panoramic views of the lush green misty Himalayas. The cleanliness and natural design show with how much care and love the place has been filled over many years by the beautiful family. We offer the comfortable rooms on private as well as sharing basis. The rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi access and clean private washrooms with hot water shower.   • Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga – Get the knowledge and skills of the body while practicing asanas (static postures), vinyasas (dynamic exercises) and Pranayamas (breathing exercises) of Hatha Yoga. You will learn more about the anatomy of the body to better understand safe, stable physical alignments in Yoga poses and how to adapt the teaching for various indications.

  • Yoga Asana– Understand and practice the poses of Yoga which open the nadis (energy channels) and chakras (psychic centers) of the body. Learn how Yoga poses can purify and help heal the body, as well as control, calm and focus the mind.

  • The Traditions and Lineages of Yoga – The history of Yoga is as fascinating as it is mysterious, and plays a huge role in understanding the true meaning of Yoga. The Yogic wisdom dates back to 5000 years and holds the wisdom for living life in harmony with self and others. The course will offer thorough insight of Yoga tradition primarily focused on Hatha, and Vinyasa Yoga, its key philosophies, and the theory behind its practice, bridging the gap between the timeless wisdom of the ancients and our modern living.

  • The Yoga Transformation – Understand the what is the Yogic Science and how it is going to bring positive changes in your life. Experience how the mind evolves and awareness grows on a daily babsis with ongoing disciplined sadhana.
  • The Science of Yogic Breathing – Get the knowledge of the practice of Yoga breathing, Pranayama, which is fundamental to the physical and mental practice of Yoga. Learn how to link the Pranayama with the practice of the asanas and unite mind and the body through the breath. Understand how Yogic breathing can lead to immense concentration and mindfulness, while attaining physical and emotional balance.

  • The Energetic Body – Understand the foundation of all life - the subtle life force, prana. Learn about the anatomy of the energy body, including the nadi system and chakras.

  • Ayurveda – Known as “the science of life,” Ayurveda centers on the importance of individual balance and the balance between the individual and the laws of nature. Learn the basics of this instrumental science, which helps you in developing a deep understanding of yourself and others.

  • Meditation – Learn the art of systematically observing, accepting, understanding, and training each of the levels of our being. Experience how to coordinate and integrate 
    the thought processes in order to dwell in the direct experience of unlimited consciousness and live fully in the present moment.

  • Kriya Yoga – Understand in great detail the comprehensive spiritual path, which includes additional meditation practices and right living to be in the state of consciousness.

  • Yoga Nidra – Yoga Nidra is an essential part of the Yogic wisdom. With the help of Yoga Nidra, we will teach you how to take your conscience to different parts of the body and attain deep relaxation.

  • Mantra and its practice – Learn the science that is meant to engage the mind through focusing on sound, duration and number of repetitions. Experience the healing power of Mantra chanting and get insight into Sanskrit, the ancient spiritual language

  • Restorative Yoga – Learn the sequences of Yoga poses that allow you to completely relax and rest. You will also learn how to modify asanas for special needs and understand their benefits profoundly.

  • Advanced Sequencing – We will teach you how to create your own specified sequences by using asanas, Pranayama and meditation.

  • Yogic lifestyle – Understand the Yogic philosophy about how to live a life of purpose and fulfillment. In order to achieve balance and harmony between the mind, body, and spirit, both individually and in relationship with the world, we teach how to integrate the spiritual practice into daily life.

On successful completion of all course requirements, students will be awarded Yoga Alliance® approved 200 and 300 hour Teacher Training Certificates. These certificates will allow you to teach Yoga anywhere in the world in different settings.
