The Himalayan Meditation and Yoga retreat India program is of 7 and 14 days, available all year round. Come in the Yoga capital of India, near the banks of river Ganges and embark on the transformative journey in our Himalayan Yoga and Meditation retreat in India Rishikesh. Your retreat days will be filled with leisurely relaxations and new inspirations – where you get the understanding of how to relax your soul, have deep profound philosophical discussions with learned Yogis and have harmonious balance with the outside world and your inner self. Our masterful and experienced Yoga Teachers will help you to understand the techniques of spiritual practices including Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga and Restorative Yoga, while introducing you to meditation and breathing techniques.

In Rishikesh, a comforting retreat centre is waiting for you within the heart of the hills, offering great views of the city and the Himalayan range. It is just a few paces away from the banks of River Ganges and is filled with positive vibes. The surrounding area is rich in holy temples, warm people and simplicity. This place is carefully selected as the quiet and warm atmosphere is perfect to relax the mind.

At Vedic Yoga Academy, you will be living in the close embrace of nature, which in itself, is a refreshing experience. The rooms offer panoramic views of the city with tall Himalayan mountains filling the backdrop. The rooms of your accommodation are hygienic and comfortable, and available on private as well as sharing basis. All the rooms are well-equipped with contemporary facilities such as twin beds, lights, television, private and clean washrooms with 24*7 hot running shower facilities, a study area, coffee table, and a chair. Most rooms have a private balcony for you to immerse in the beauty of Rishikesh and to spend some leisure time in self-reflection & meditation.

In Vedic Yoga’s Himalayan retreat program, you will experience the time tested healing techniques which we carefully picked from the sacred books of various religions. You will also get valuable personalized advice and recommendations from our experienced Yoga teachers, which you can easily fit in your daily routine and get the benefits which Yoga and meditation has to offer. Below is what you will gain knowledge on:

  • Hatha Yoga:Hatha Yoga stems from a deep understanding of the mechanics of the body, and uses Yogic postures, or Yoga asanas, to enable the system to sustain higher dimensions of energy. Together we will practice this profound science, for you to experience and embrace the change in the way you think, feel, and experience life around you.
  • Vinyasa Yoga:Vinyasa Yoga is the science of stringing postures together for you to move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. This helps in avoiding injuries while doing the Yoga poses. This sacred breath initiated practice teaches how to connect every action of our life with the intention of moving towards what is sacred, or most important to us.
  • Meditation & Relaxation:Meditation starts when everything inside you is still - your body, mind, even your thoughts. The feeling of ease is very important for meditation and in the retreat, we will teach you how to prepare your mind and body for meditation. You will also learn how to stabilize your meditation posture, calm your thoughts and explore deep relaxation.
  • Yoga Philosophy:Get the profound understanding of how to create balance and equanimity to live in peace, reap the benefits of good health and have harmony with the greater whole. Understand life from the perspective of Yoga and get background knowledge on the practices you will be performing to have a deeper understanding and appreciation for the same.

* We encourage you to keep a day for silent reflection, since in today’s time; most of the energy is utilized in the distractions of the modern world. The silent reflection will allow your mind to have clarity.

During this retreat, you will be served nutritious daily vegetarian/vegan meals prepared as per the Ayurvedic principles. You will begin your mornings with fresh lemon& ginger tea to awaken and detoxify the body, followed with breakfast which includes organic local fruit salads, wholesome porridge, wholegrain toast and a variety of cereals. Lunch and dinner would consist of many different vegetarian soups, traditional curries, rice bowls, salads and homemade breads. Teas and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the day.

The fee includes the tuition, certificate, course materials, accommodation and food three times a day for the whole training.

Payment

The advance payment is done via PayPal or Bank Transfer.

20% of the total amount is required to be transferred 30 days before the training starts.

You can pay the remaining amount on arrival or transfer the complete amount in advance as you wish. The payment can be made via cash, debit, credit or transfer. Transactional fee might apply.
