Holistic Healing Journey: Body, Energy, Mind, Karma and Beyond

Most doctors try to heal their patients by giving medications. However, it can be said that those are more curing symptoms rather than the deeper cause, the real root of an illness. It needs to be understood that symptoms are an outcome of a physical distortion that only shows in the physical body. But there is much more than our physical body. The human being consists of far more than that, but since it is the only thing that we can “really” see and is more tangible, most of the doctors are working on this level.

Finding the root

When going deeper into human nature, there are diseases that reside on deeper levels: energy level, mind level, karmic level and on a level that is beyond mental imagination. Almost always, sicknesses have a very profound reason why it occurs- mostly residing on the karmic or mind level.

So when going more in depth about why a disease exists, we need to go deeper into human nature and analyse all the levels that we previously mentioned. We need to really understand the disease in order to heal it completely.

Almost always, all levels are interrelated and connected, so that they have a great influence on each other. For example, if you work on the karmic level, it automatically influences all the levels beneath too. However, this will not work the other way around.

Understanding the Five Stages of Holistic Healing

Healing is more than treating symptoms, it is an unfolding journey that begins with the physical body and extends into the unseen realms of energy, mind, karma, and beyond. Each stage builds upon the previous one, creating a holistic process of healing and transformation. By exploring these levels, we begin to see healing not as a quick fix but as a path toward balance, self-discovery, and freedom.

1. Body (Physical Level)

The body is the starting point of all healing. When the body is nourished, rested, and balanced, it becomes the vessel for deeper exploration. Through movement, mindful eating, and healthy living, we create stability that supports the mind and energy. The body is more than physical, it holds memories, stress, and emotions. Caring for it with awareness allows us to release tension and prepare the ground for higher levels of healing.

This level is the “simplest” level where rather simple diseases arise like breaking a bone, simple diseases that are coming from the physical realm and that need to be treated in the physical realm. However, on this level not every disease can be healed.

An example: treating the symptoms of eczema (scratching the skin) with creams. The wounds might be healed, but the scratching of the skin still comes back.

Treatment methods include surgery, medication, massages, changing diets, etc.

2. Prana Healing (Energy Level)

Beyond the physical lies prana, the life energy that animates every breath and heartbeat. When prana flows smoothly, we feel vibrant, clear, and aligned. When it is blocked, we experience fatigue, confusion, or imbalance. Ancient practices like Pranayama, detoxing, and awareness of subtle energy channels open the doors to this healing stage. Prana healing connects us with the rhythm of life itself, teaching us to live with harmony, vitality, and inner flow.

This level goes deeper than the physical realm. It can include blockages in the body that arose from certain behaviours or emotions; mostly that includes suppressed emotions like anger or sadness. Treatment methods include Acupuncture, Kinesiology, Reiki or Pranayama.

The last two methods can be also used in the 3rd level.

3. Healing the Mind (Psyche Level)

The mind takes the shapes of how we perceive the world. Thoughts, emotions, and patterns can either support healing or hold us back. At this stage, we learn to quiet the restless mind, release limiting beliefs, and develop inner clarity. Meditation, mindfulness, and deep reflection become the tools to nurture stillness. By transforming the mind, we gain resilience, emotional balance, and a deeper capacity to connect with the essence of who we truly are.

This level relates to psychosomatic diseases. If someone has a psychosomatic illness, their symptoms are caused by feelings/emotions like worry or unhappiness rather than by a physical problem. Hence, those are connected to the body and profoundly to the mind. Some physical diseases  are thought to be particularly prone to be made worse by mental factors such as stress and anxiety. The current mental state can affect how bad a physical disease is at any given time.

Treatment methods include psychological therapies, psychokinesiology or hypnosis I. Almost all of the treatments are linked to work with the conscious and subconscious mind.

4. Karma and Conscious Living: Moving Beyond Old Patterns

Karma is the echo of past actions, shaping the way we think, feel, and experience life today. Healing at the karmic level means recognizing and releasing patterns that no longer serve us. It calls for conscious choices, compassion, and awareness in daily living. This stage goes beyond personal well-being — it opens the possibility of living with freedom, responsibility, and alignment with a higher purpose. Karma healing allows us to move forward unburdened and whole.

Karmic illnesses and diseases, whether they are emotional, physical or mental, can affect us at any stage in our lives. Karma is defined simply as “action.” Karmas, therefore, are actions that cause effects. Thus, it can be said that a disease on a karmic level has its cause or primary consequence in past lives. They can also be related to certain traumas of the current and past lives that manifested in the mind and body.

Treatment methods include hypnosis II (trance, lucid dreaming), Mantra meditation or Rituals/Shamanic procedures

5. Beyond the ego and its control: Surrender

The final stage of healing takes us beyond the body, mind, and karma into the realm of pure awareness. Here, healing is not about fixing but about remembering our true nature — vast, limitless, and free. It is a state of unity where inner peace is no longer dependent on circumstances. This is the ultimate stage of wholeness: a journey of awakening that connects us with the timeless essence of life itself.

The last level, which is on the top of the pyramid, cannot directly be connected to any of the levels below. It might be something beyond our imagination.

A treatment method includes deep meditation (being in the delta frequency)
