Yoga Nidra teacher training in India Rishikesh is one of the finest and most powerful program taught by experienced practitioners of meditation to develop deep awareness and keep the consciousness clear while going into deeper states of mind.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient Yogic practice which has stood the test of time and is very relevant in today’s age. Often referred as ‘Yogic Sleep’, this is the ‘half sleep and half awake’ state. The practitioner of Yoga Nidra is in deep state of relaxation, yet fully conscious.

During the Yoga Nidra teacher training in India you will get practice and learning in this state of consciousness, where your body rests in Shavasana and mind subtly focuses inwards to remove physical and emotional hindrances.

Yoga Nidra teacher training in India benefits are immense, so found by modern brain researchers. While activating the parasympathic nervous system we go into a physical state of recuperation and self-healing during the yoga nidra practices. The immune system functions get enhanced and the body cleans out toxins and pollutions. The effect on the mind is centering and calming, old blockages can be removed and emotional healing can take place.

Yoga Nidra Teacher Training in India:

Understanding of sleep states: Sleep is an important part of our daily routine—we all spend about one-third of our time doing it.  Quality sleep – and getting enough of it at the right times -- is as essential to survival as food and water.  There are two basic types of sleep:  rapid eye movement (REM) sleep and non-REM sleep (which has three different stages).  Each is linked to specific brain waves and neuronal activity. We will cover each in detail for you to have a wholesome understanding of the same

Discussing and addressing individual sleep problems: There are many sleep disorders from which people suffer but don’t realize that the same is not normal. We will cover each one of them for you to identify the same in order to correctly diagnose and address once you are teaching mindfulness to your students in future

The theory and practice of the five steps of Yoga Nidra:

Yoga Nidra is essentially broken down into five-stage process that begins with a body scan to engage one's physicality. Together we shall cover each stage in detail so you can experience and understand these five steps in action.

Understanding of the four states of consciousness:

The four states of Consciousness first appeared in the sacred Indian book of Mandukya Upanishad. You will learn all about the stages in detail and how to attain them with the help of Yogic Nidra.

Guided Yogic Nidra Practices

Makarasana – Learn how to do Makarasana or the Crocodile Pose, which is a relaxing Yoga asana. It is perfect for back and shoulder problems and helps establish relaxed and healthy abdominal breathing.

Diaphragmatic breathing - Understand and practice how to do diaphragmatic breathing, or deep breathing, which is breathing done by contracting the diaphragm, a muscle located horizontally between the thoracic cavity and abdominal cavity.

Shavasana practice – This looks a very simple exercise to do, but in reality could be one of the hardest since you need to completely relax your body and mind. Learn how to do it efficiently while avoiding the pitfalls

Excise without movement – How to do basic Yoga exercise without moving much of your joints. This is extremely helpful if someone is recovering from an injury and wants the blood circulation to be proper in the body. Learn about the power of your mind and the effect of thoughts on your physical body.

Tension-Relaxation – Understand how to systematically tense and then relax all the muscle groups of your body, which promotes an overall physical and mental relaxation.

Simple relaxation – Understand the art of relaxing, which you can do it at will and help your body gain positive cosmic energy by releasing stress and anxiety.
