Do I need prior experience in pranayama to join this course?

No. Previous practice is helpful, but not needed. We will make sure to adjust our classes to your individual level.The training welcomes both beginners and experienced practitioners. What matters most is your sincerity and willingness to learn with presence and patience.

I don't want to be a Pranayama teacher, can I still join?

Absolutely. You don’t need to want to teach, many join simply to deepen their personal practice and understanding of Prana.

Can I start teaching Pranayama right after I complete the training?

Yes. If you complete a 200-hour course, you’ll receive an internationally recognized certificate that qualifies you to teach Pranayama anywhere in the world.

Yes, depending on the course you will have time off. You can use it to deepen your practice, prepare for the exam, relax or explore surrounding areas. On top of that there are also breaks during the day for meals, self-study, and rest. A sample of the daily schedule is there on each course page on this website, which will give you a good idea of how the day runs.

When is the best time to go to Rishikesh for pranayama?

The best time is September to April when the weather is pleasant and conducive to outdoor practice. However, quality courses run year-round. Choose a time when you can fully commit mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Do you offer airport pickup to the Pranayama School in Rishikesh?

Yes, we recommend flying to New Delhi or Dehradun Airport (India). You can take a bus or request a taxi through us. Contact us, and we’ll help arrange the best travel options for you.

Do I need to bring my Yoga mat?

Please bring your own Yoga mat in case you want to use it personally. We will provide all props to you during the course.

What should I bring for the Training?

Comfortable clothes, notebook and pen, outdoor shoes, warm clothes in winter, reusable water bottle, a shawl to cover your shoulders, one set of white clothes for the ceremony, and an open mind.

We welcome you to bring something to donate – used clothes, old winter jackets, old electronics… we will happily give it to someone in need.
