Prana means life-force and it is the vital energy that pervades everything. At our Pranayama teacher training in Nepal, the teachers will share the knowledge of how to do apply different breathing techniques in order to clean the body and the mind. You will learn to accumulate Prana in your body and prepare for meditation. Step by step you will learn how to breathe naturally and establish a healthy breathing pattern throughout the day. With a calm mind you will observe the deep cleaning effects of Pranayama on an emotional, mental and physical level.

You will learn how to make your Prana flow into different regions of your body in order to remove blocks or toxins from your Nadi system, your energy system. Deeper introduction into the chakra system and how to work with it is part of the training as well as applying Mudras and Bandhas. With experience and personal guidance you will be able to transfer the knowledge to your students and bring health and spiritual growth to many.

Learn Pranayama in our teaching center which is located in the peaceful lakeside city of Pokhara. The center is surrounded by nature on top of a mountain, overlooking the beautiful Phewa Lake. We selected the place carefully for meditation practice as the quiet and warm atmosphere is perfect to relax the mind and heal from within. From your private garden you can see the lake and the famous world peace pagoda. The fruits and vegetables from the garden are served in every day meals. The richness and tranquillity of the nature helps to see what is important. Meditate to the sound of the birds singing the song of a long-forgotten paradise.

 

At Vedic Yoga Academy, you will be living in the middle of nature and experience intact wildlife every day. The rooms offer panoramic views of the lush green misty Himalayas. The cleanliness and natural design show with how much care and love the place has been filled over many years by the beautiful family. We offer the comfortable rooms on private as well as sharing basis.

The rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi access and clean private washrooms with hot water shower. You have a study area and a private balcony to enjoy the beauty of an intact nature and to spend some time in self-reflection & meditation.

Introduction of Pranayama – Learn how to direct and control prana in the body, which has been considered a crucial aspect of Yoga. Breathing is an essential body function. We can learn to control the way we breathe and feel the flow of Prana.

Panchkosha Vital Seaths – First appeared in Taittiriya Upanishad, Pancha Kosha is a Yogic philosophy concept, which states that there are five layers, or sheaths, around the human soul. The term comes from the Sanskrit pancha, meaning “five,” and kosha meaning “sheath.” You will learn all of the five Koshas in detail and how to be aware of these koshas to take the inner journey to uncover your true self or Atman.

Prana and Chakra – Learn about the relationship between the Prana and the chakras. Chakras are energy centers in human body.  There are 114 minor chakras and 7 major chakras in the body. Understand how to activate the chakras with help of Pranayama.

Prana and Nadi – Understand the human body from the basis of energy form. There are over 72,000 nadis or energy channels, along which the vital energy or prana moves. Learn in depth about the relationship of Prana and Nadi and how they are related with the Chakras.

Prana and Mantra - The basis of many prana vidya techniques is mantra and we will cover them in detail. Learn the correct application of mantras, within the specialized form of prana vidya.

Essential Mudras, Bandhas and Asanas for Pranayama – Learn the various mudras, asanas and bandhans to practice Pranayama. We will cover them in theory and in practice for you to have a holistic understanding of the same.

Three aspects of Pranayama – Learn what forms the basic function of Pranayama. Understand how the seemingly simple Inhalation (puraka), Breath holding (kumbhaka) and Exhalation (rechaka) has profound effect on body, mind and thoughts.

Physiology of Pranayama – By practice, see for yourself how Pranayama plays a vital role in calming the mind, recharging your energy and cleaning the body on deeper levels.

Guideline of Pranayama – We will also cover the posture for Pranayama, how to avoid distractions while practicing Pranayama and how to observe others doing Pranayama for you to become a skillful teacher to teach others the art of breathing

The fee includes the tuition, certificate, course materials, accommodation and food three times a day for the whole training.

20% of the total amount is required to be transferred with registration to the course.
