It is an invitation to step into community living and gradually turn the mind inward, experiencing the true essence of inner silence – pure bliss in deep connection with the self.

What is Inner Silence (Mauna)?

The Sanskrit word ‘Mauna‘ translates to ‘Silence‘, yet it encompasses far more than the absence of words and sound. It is a state of mindful awareness, an inner stillness that shifts your focus inward, allowing you to dive into new realms of consciousness and experience the pure self. In this space of silence, you access the depths of your own being, beyond thought and distraction.

How do we practice silence?

Committing to silence is the beginning of a transformative journey – one that not only uncovers your inner beliefs and thought patterns but also allows you to witness the beauty of pure awareness. As you embrace silence, you awaken to the deep wisdom that already exists within you, opening the door to true inner peace and self-realization.

Previous practice is helpful, but not needed. We will make sure to adjust our classes to your individual level.

Will I have time for other activities outside the Retreat?

Yes. While the schedule is full and intense, you’ll still have free time, usually one day a week off. You can explore nature, visit temples, enjoy local markets, or simply rest and reflect in peaceful surroundings.

What style of Yoga are you teaching during the Meditation Retreat?

Our teaching is rooted in traditional yogic principles, blending Hatha, Vinyasa, and Raja Yoga. We respect ancient wisdom while adapting it to be accessible and relevant for modern practitioners.

Do you offer airport pickup to the Meditation School in Nepal?

We recommend flying to Pokhara Airport. You can take a bus or request a taxi through us. Contact us, and we’ll help arrange the best travel options for you.

Am I required to stay at the school during the training?

Yes, we have early morning and evening classes. All our students along with teachers have their meals together. If you wish to stay in another facility, kindly let us know in advance so that we can decide if the same is possible.

What will I need to bring to the retreat?

Comfortable clothes, notebook and pen, outdoor shoes, warm clothes in winter, reusable water bottle, a shawl to cover your shoulders, one set of white clothes for the ceremony, and an open mind 🙂

We welcome you to bring something to donate – used clothes, old winter jackets, old electronics… we will happily give it to someone in need.
