We want to make sure to stay respectful towards each other in our Conscious Community. For that reason, we designed our code of conduct as a mindful reminder to guide everyone joining us.
The knowledge we share in our community is an ancient and sacred wisdom that requires peaceful and safe surroundings during the process of learning and practice. In order to provide the most healing and caring environment possible, our students are encouraged to uphold the Code of Conduct during their stay at Vedic yoga academy School. Please read the following information carefully and get in touch if there are any open questions.
Smoking, alcohol, drugs or addictive substances
Please abstain from smoking, alcohol, drugs or any other kinds of addictive substances during your stay in our community. Emotional and physical cleansing as well as the wellbeing of all our students is essential for our everyday practice. In case you have a strong habit for smoking, we encourage you to keep it low and at a certain distance to our community space. We do not accept any other kind of drug consumption, including the use of alcohol and marijuana during your training. Please stay mindful during your stay with us to give yourself and everyone around you the most uplifting experience possible.
Consumption of non-vegetarian food (meat, fish, eggs)
As part of our culture and our conscious way of living, a pure vegetarian diet is natural in our community. In our eyes, we are all one. Therefore, we promote the most non-violent and respectful behavior towards every being on this planet. Adjusting your lifestyle to a vegetarian way of living will cleanse your body, purify your mind and support you on your journey to the self. At Vedic yoga academy we make sure to provide meals of the highest quality only and encourage you to keep an open mind towards our diet.
Respectful behavior
We appreciate the peaceful and loving energy we created in our Conscious Community throughout the last years. We welcome everyone with open arms and encourage respectful contact with every individual. Any kind of behavior that might disrupt the social dynamics or hurt another being is inappropriate in our community. If you feel like a disagreement or a potential conflict might be coming up, we mindfully encourage you to stay respectful and communicate your feelings openly with the other person or with us.
Getting enough sleep
Since our gate closes at 9:30pm, we kindly request our students to return to school before this time. To keep your attention and your energy on your practice, a regular sleeping cycle and good rest is essential on your healing journey. Since our classes during the training usually start early in the morning, it is important to get enough sleep to recharge for the next day. Moreover, you never know what the person next door might be going through right now – stay conscious and mindful towards yourself and others. Early to bed, early to rise, will keep you healthy, happy and wise.
