Therefore learning Yoga in our retreat centre is an amazing experience. It is located in the peaceful lakeside city of Pokhara. The centre is surrounded by nature on top of a mountain, overlooking the beautiful Phewa Lake. We selected the place carefully for meditation practice. Hence the atmosphere is quiet and warm, perfect to relax the mind and heal from within. You can see the lake and the famous world peace pagoda. Apart from that the fruits and vegetables from the garden are served in every day meals.

Philosophy of Yoga

Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on ancient sacred scriptures- the Yoga sutras. The subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body, is described in Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga. In the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will gain profound knowledge of the basis and origin of Yoga.

Yoga Asanas and Teaching Methodology

In the Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga classes, you will learn how to attain balance and strength. Also you will attain full awareness by using your breath in every movement. You will gain understanding of safe and stable physical alignments in the Yoga poses, while attaining knowledge of the logical and scientific principle behind each Asana. Finally, over the duration of the course, you will understand how to sequence a class and apply adjustments in asanas to specific conditions.

Yoga Anatomy

Open your horizon about the anatomy and physiology of the body. Understand how to handle specific needs and constitutions in the Yoga practice. We have a spiritual and modern scientific approach towards the ancient teachings. Therefore you will learn the things from both ends.

Shatkarma

Understand the effectiveness of Yogic detoxification techniques and their positive effects on mind, body and soul.

Pranayama

The flow of the Prana (life-force) holds tremendous healing effects. Learn various breathing techniques to activate your body, detoxify your whole system and to relax completely. Also you will gain knowledge on the philosophy behind the sacred teachings of pranayama.

Yoga Nidra

Get to know ‘the sleep of the Yogis’. Yoga Nidra starts with a conscious relaxation technique. It is used to remove mental and physical blocks. Therefore these are immensely powerful techniques which will guide you to systematically experience deep relaxation. Also it is a perfect preparation for meditation practice.

Meditation

Understand the true meaning of meditation. Get to know the levels of your being by training your awareness and your sense of perspective. We will teach how to prepare yourself for meditation, sit correctly, breath properly. As a result you will know how to observe yourself, be mindful and at ease.

200 Hours Yoga Certification for Yoga Teachers

After successful completion of Yoga Teacher Training Nepal course, you will receive a Yoga Alliance Certificate. This certificate qualifies you to teach Yoga internationally. Vedic Academy offers Yoga courses for everyone on path of light and personal growth.
