The Silence retreat in Nepal is of 6, 10 and 14 days. You will be guided towards the sacred practice of Mauna through a full schedule of different yogic techniques every day. The retreat is about silently reflecting over the events as they are. The Silence Retreat in Nepal is designed for you to experience how to gain mastery over the mind, while celebrating the power of senses and experiencing the calm by deploying silence. The retreat employs a time-tested approach of conserving energy in silence, which is meant for finer balance and peace in life.

 

Silence Retreat Center in Pokahra, Nepal

Enjoy your Mauna practice in our teaching center which is located in the peaceful lakeside city of Pokhara. The center is surrounded by nature on top of a mountain, overlooking the beautiful Phewa Lake. We selected the place carefully for meditation practice as the quiet and warm atmosphere is perfect to relax the mind and heal from within. From your private garden you can see the lake and the famous world peace pagoda. The fruits and vegetables from the garden are served in every day meals. The richness and tranquillity of the nature helps to see what is important. Meditate to the sound of the birds singing the song of a long-forgotten paradise.

At Vedic Yoga Academy, you will be living in the middle of nature and experience intact wildlife every day. The rooms offer panoramic views of the lush green misty Himalayas. The cleanliness and natural design show with how much care and love the place has been filled over many years by the beautiful family. We offer the comfortable rooms on private as well as sharing basis. The rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi access and clean private washrooms with hot water shower. You have a study area and a private balcony to enjoy the beauty of an intact nature and to spend some time in self-reflection & meditation.

The Silence retreat in Nepal is designed for you to unplug yourself from the chaos, slow down and reflect on the beauty of life by observing it without getting distracted. You will experience more connected with your inner self and outside world and this retreat will help you embark on the journey of finding inner peace. Below is what you’ll gain knowledge on:

Deep Meditations:
A set of guided meditations, specifically handpicked from various time-tested traditions, are the central part of this retreat. These meditations help to draw out the deepest layers of stress and tension from our nervous system, making the body & mind getting the much needed relaxation

The power of Silence:
Understand what is Silence, which is much more than ‘not speaking’. Being truly silent is a way to renew ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. Experience how to have your senses relaxed, your thoughts still and experience the state of calm.

Mudras & Pranayama
The program builds upon the breathing exercises and teaches a series of Mudras, for you to get a fine balance between the mind and emotions.

Relaxation Techniques
Learn how to truly relax. We will teach you how just by focusing on your breath, you can have your mind and body in the deep phase of relaxation. 

During this retreat, you will be served nutritious daily vegetarian/vegan meals prepared as per the Ayurvedic principles. You will begin your mornings with fresh lemon& ginger tea to awaken and detoxify the body, followed with breakfast which includes organic local fruit salads, wholesome porridge, wholegrain toast and a variety of cereals. Lunch and dinner would consist of many different vegetarian soups, traditional curries, rice bowls, salads and homemade breads. Teas and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the day.
