Yoga Nidra is an ancient yogic technique for deep relaxation. It is called the yogic sleep as the practitioner enters deep states of awareness and restores energy quickly.
Yoga Nidra is practiced in Shavasana, the corpse pose. First the body will relax in a seuqenced manner. The mind calms down and you move deep into your inner self. In the states of Yoga Nidra you can with awareness create different brain wave frequencies and enter your subconscious mind.
Old behaviour patterns and trauma can be released in those states and unconscious beliefs and traits reveal to the practitioner.
At the Yoga Nidra course in Ireland we will guide you step by step through the traditonal art of Yoga Nidra. Your practice will be supported by teachings of Pranayama, breathing execises to revive and restore life enery in the body, cleansing execises which will help you remove toxins from all body tissues and rejuvenate as well as restorative Asana practices.
You also will have guided meditation and enough time to ask any questions of the experienced teachers.
Yoga Nidra is an ancient yogic technique. It is called the sleep of the Yogis. Consciously you relax your body in a sequenced manner and enter your subconscious mind. Differnet brain wave patterns are generated that cause various physiological processes. It brings deep healing to body and mind.
The practice of Yoga Nidra helps the practitioner to relax deeply without losing the wareness. You enter your subconscious mind and can release old trauma and stored up stress. Regenerative genetic programs are activated and after a short session of Yoga Nidra you feel revitalized, just as you would after a long period of deep sleep.
Yoga Nidra practice helps to see behavioural patterns that hinder us from living to our full potential. It frees the mind from negative thinking and reduces the stress hormone levels in our blood. Self-healing processes are activated and your body rejuvenates quickly.
